ExplorOz - David & Michelle

Back To Index
Well it seems like the comps roll around quick at the moment and this weekend I am in a team entry for the Busselton Half. Just received and read the race book from Triathlon WA. A mere 1600 plus competitors will take part this weekend. At least that means I won't be last (I hope). My team made up of myself and two mates will hit the 2km swim, 90Km bike leg and 21 km run. Myself I am the rider and have been training for this event for some time and have dedicated my training 100% to the long bike leg since the Hillarys Triathlon that I competed in.

I have been riding around 30-50 km each morning with a small 100km ride on Saturday mornings. Yes around 45 km on the bike before I come in a deal with the ExplorOz system each day. No wonder I am finding it harder to work late at night like I used to.

We are all hoping for fine weather, reports of rain are still in the forecast however they are now saying that it will be hardly much rain. We can only hope. Michelle and the kids and the other guys families are all heading down for the weekend. It should be a great time (apart from 2-3 hours of it at least).

Anyway I will post some more information o this after the event.

All the best for the event, I'm all for long distance events as it toughens the mind and shows what the body is capable of...

Good luck!
