We are in Las Vegas

Well after several flights and not much sleep we have made it to Las Vegas. We arrived last night Monday and picked up the hire car (I will photo it later) and made it to the hotel. Bugger me if it is not hard to drive on the wrong side of the road after you have just travelled half way round the world without much sleep. But regardless we made it.

We went out to dinner at MGM Grand and ate at the Rainforest Cafe. The kids loved it huge animals that moved and interacted while you eat. We ended up eating too much but it was sort of an arrival party.

Today we did some shopping as our room has a kitchen, we stocked it. We also spent the some hours getting our phones on the local network so we can use data. Getting a sim and plan is actually really difficult. Almost all US phones are contracted and not really suited to travelers. I should have done some more pre-tip research. So I ended up spending too much for for our services but have heaps of data to use with Skype.

I will take the bike for a ride tomorrow and a swim. I am actually falling asleep typing this so had better take sleeping beauty (Michelle) to bed and send the kids to bed.
