29 January 2016. End of January Sales. Tips for Travelling the Great Central Road. And Tips for Posting Photos in Blogs

Edition 418: 29th January 2016

Hi ExplorOz Reader,

With the year already disappearing faster than a Tim Tam at a Weight Watchers conference, we already have some interesting news and more great deals for you. Please read on for details.

If you thought you missed out on getting an ExplorOz Calendar, luck is on your side. We've still got a few copies left so we've dropped the price down to just $15 per copy, or if you want to save even further grab the pack of 5 for only $70. Available Here.

This is a 13 month calendar from January 2016 - January 2017 so even though it's now the end of January, it is still current for the next 12 months. One month is featured per page with a full colour A4 sized image of the Australia outback shared by some of the best photographers in the ExplorOz community. These photos are unique and not your typical iconic Australian scenes but unusual and very special locations in some of the countries most remote regions. Photos feature a range of special areas across the country and you bet it will whet your appetite for travel! Best of all - these calendars give dates of school term and state holidays for every state & territory in Australia making it the ideal travel planner.

Any Members that recently joined/renewed since Christmas may be wondering when they will receive their Welcome Pack. Whilst your actual Membership is processed automatically with instant access to the full Membership benefits, we have not yet posted out your sticker, card, & brochure in the mail. We understand that some of you may be concerned by the delay so we would just like to clarify that over the school holiday period we were not processing the mail out. Mail outs will recommence next week when school goes back.

Here's 2 great items that would be perfect gifts for your grand kids or children. Ideal for any small adult, teenager or larger child. See size guide for details.

Everyone loves thermal pants and these can be worn on cold nights just about anywhere. Thermal pants can be worn as PJ's at home, as an under layer when snow skiing/boarding, or under jeans or tracksuit pants around the campfire or even just as they are in the tent/caravan. These thermals suit both male and female (unisex styling) and the only size we have left is the equivalent of mens size XS or a ladies size equivalent 8-10. We have just 2 in stock - black only.

Here's 3 tips for posting photos into your blogs:

1. Insert images as multiples of 3 (ie. 3, 6, 9. 12).
2. Do not resize your images - let the system automatically layout for best results
3. Select photos of the same orientation within each group of 3 (ie. Portrait or Landscape)

The blog will automatically try to layout images in blocks of 3 across a horizontal line - Left, Centre, Right. If you resize the pics they might exceed the page width and cause text/image wrap problems due to the "responsive" design of the site.
