New Trek Note - SA Deserts

TheOld Andado Track traverses fascinating terrain that includes mountain ranges, rocky gibber plains, desert sand dunes and floodplains in the Red Centre just south of Alice Springs.

It truly is a breathtaking experience and one that you will not expect to see in Central Australia. You can extend this trip to include Dalhousie Springs or Finke, and it joins up nicely with the Simpson Desert trek notes.

This trek note is in the new format including reverse driving directions. Keep your eye on the Latest Page Updates to see other Trek Notes that have been updated.

Fuel Prices Historical Graphs

30 Day trends for each state are shown on the Fuel Prices index page, whilst 90day trend graphs are shown on each state page at the end of the report.

Don't forget that the Fuel Price pages are updated daily.

Year of the Outback 2006

In the coming weeks you'll start to hear a lot more about a key event taking place next year called the "Great Outback Cleanup".

As the name suggests, participants will be driving 4WD vehicles on 19 designated tracks across Australia leaving from capital cities and converging in Alice Springs in August 2006. The objective is to collect rubbish along the way, beautifying these remote areas and gaining positive media exposure for the 4WD industry.

ExplorOz will be extensively involved as one of the major sponsors to this event. Not only will we be involved in media promotions, but we will be the first point of contact for people wishing to find out about the logistics of participating.

Stay tuned for more details about the event in our next newsletter and keep your eyes open for the launch of a massive media campaign to promote this key event.
