Description of 5 Rivers Lookout
Overlooking the town of
Wyndham, at
the summit of the Bastion Range is the Five Rivers Lookout - so named because of the vantage point over the Ord,
Forrest, King, Durack and Pentecost Rivers that merge with the Cambridge Gulf.
A steep tar road leads to picnic shelters at
the summit at an altitude of some 360m above sea level. There is a
plaque with a map at the top that shows the area and identifies the rivers. There are also some barbecues and lots of space. Great spot for spectacular views, popular with tourists and locals at sunset.
