Description of Windjana Gorge Camp Area
This campground, set within the
Windjana Gorge National Park, is one of the best campgrounds in the
Kimberley and is the ideal base for visiting the area. Situated at the base of the
Windjana Gorge all sites have awesome views of the setting sun reflecting
orange hues off the limestone cliffs. A DEC WA ranger is on site April - November only, however
camping fees apply at all times.
Sites facilitiles include generator area, toilets, showers, information bay, telephone. No swimming (freshwater crocodiles inhabit waterholes of the Lennard River).
