Description of Wreck of the MV Sygna
The wreck of the stern half of the bulk carrier "MV Sygna", which dragged its anchor and was washed ashore in a violent storm in 1974 is found about 10 Km as the crow flies north of Newcastle harbour entrance. The rusted remains on the shoreline are a very prominent landmark.

Stockton Beach
Stockton beach is the 4WD and dune buggy playground. Just 2 hours north of Sydney via the freeway, this huge expanse of sand dune area is open for camping and frolicking. Some say the dunes are higher than in the Simpson Desert! A great experience.
