Description of Tibooburra
The historic Family Hotel in Tibooburra is famous for its murals. It is open every day with a 24 hour licence. The hotel carries a selection of Australian wines, and of course,
cold beer. Patrons can from choose meals served in the Dining Room , at the Counter or Take-Away.

In the main street there is an upturned boat perched high up on 2 poles. It represents the boat that Charles Sturt carried all the way from
Adelaide in 1844 to sail the inland sea when he found it.
Of course he never found the inland sea.
There was one death on that trip, and Charles Pooles grave can be seen down near
Milparinka where he was buried.
