Description of Mendooran
A small town on the Castlereagh River that was mentioned in Banjo Paterson's poem 'The Travelling
Post Office'. One of the main points of interest for tourists (as at 2005), are the eight hand painted murals relating to Mendooran that adorn the walls of some of the buildings in the main street.
