Sandon is an isolated township with about 20 houses. It is accessible only via
river crossing in a boat or, along the beach from Minnie Waters as it is located on the southern shores of the Sandon River-mouth across the waters from Broomes Head.
If you have a 4 wheel drive you can take the drive up the beach and enjoy fishing and swimming along the river.
