Cabramurra is located 35.46kms West of Adaminaby, 37.96kms SouthEast of Tumbarumba, 38.77kms NorthEast of Khancoban and 40.41kms South of Talbingo, in the state of New South Wales.
With an altitude of 1462m, Cabramurra is the highest town in Australia. The town is located within the boundaries of Kosciuszko National Park, on the road between Kiandra on the Snowy Mountains Highway to the north and Khancoban. The road is kept open to Kiandra by snow plough during winter, also serving the Selwyn snowfields resort.
