Description of Coward Springs
Restored old Ghan railway buildings and historical displays plus a shady picnic spot. Take a spa in the warm artesian waters.
Large camp sites with vegetation separating each site. Firewood is NOT supplied at Coward Springs, so campers will need to bring their own. You can collect old railway sleepers about 10km from Coward Springs if you don't already have some wood. There is no firewood collection at Coward Springs. Management does supply firewood for the 'rocket' that heats the
shower water.
Visited Sept/Oct 2007. Loved the place. The owner is always riding around on his pushbike talking to people and making sure that everything is clean and tidy. Favourite place and would definitely visit again. Pit toilets, showers are very clean.
Shower water was hot enough without lighting fire.
