 Description of Robertson Range
The Robertson Range iron ore project is 100% owned and is located approximately 11kms south east of Jigalong and 100kms east of Newman. It is about 50km southeast of BHP Billiton’s mining operations at Jimblebar, located at the end of BHP Billiton’s iron ore railway. Rio Tinto explored the area between 1999 and 2001 and identified iron mineralisation over approximately 1km strike length. In February 2002, Rio Tinto reported a conceptual in situ geological target of 20 million tonnes of iron ore.
