Description of Gregory National Park
Gregory National Park covers an area of about 13,000 square km. The park features spectacular ranges and gorges, with significant traces of both aboriginal culture and european exploration. The park also has a pastoral history. There is an amazing amount to see and do in the park; from 4WD'ing to, walking,
fishing,
camping, and photography. The most comfortable time to visit is May to August when tempratures range from 10C to 35C. If you want to see lush green woodlands, arrive during the wetter months from November to April, but check to see which roads and tracks are open prior to your arrival.
