Description of Old Police Station Waterhole
Old Police Station Waterhole, Davenport Range, NT. It is a great spot to visit and stay a while.
This a permanent waterhole within the river bed and part of the Proposed Davenport Ranges National Park. It is a beautiful setting with local wildlife visiting the waterhole. Bush camps are almost at the waters edge with plenty of shade provided by paperbarks and other trees. Facilities include (long drop) toilets within a short walk of the camp, and food preparation platforms. A short walk to the other side of the waterhole will take you to the Old Police Station ruins.
