Description of Flinders River
A good day trip option from
Normanton. Head South out of
Normanton and take the Top road to Burketown. About 30ks out you will cross the Bynoe and then Little Bynoe Rivers. Both nice spots as well. In a couple of ks you will get to the Flinders Crossing. Best time for these rivers is just after the wet when you will catch fish & Fresh Water Prawns in abundance. Fish when there is water over the causeway and high tides pushing from the North of the causeways.
Camping would be by permission from the owners.
