Description of Holland Memorial Park
The Holland
Memorial Park is the start point of the ExplorOz
Trek Notes for the
Holland Track. The park is located behind the
Broomehill Library and Council Offices on Ivy Street, which runs adjacent to the Great Southern Hwy in
Broomehill.
The park contains bbqs, picnic tables, rubbish bins, a large rotunda, some plaques, and an information signboard showing the route of the
Holland Track and numerous points of interest. More plaques commemorating John Holland are located in the open area on the other side of Ivy Street which faces onto the Great Southern Hwy.

Holland Track
From Broome Hill to Coolgardie, the Holland Track was originally built in the gold rush days as a shortcut to the Goldfields. Hardly ever visited for nearly 100 years, it was re-cut as a 4WD track in 1992 and is a popular trip with locals.
