Although the township of Hyden lies along the Kondinin-Hyden Rd and Hyden-Lake-King Rd, the main town centre lies on a street adjacent to the main road, and this is named McPherson Street. Here you'll find the Post Office, numerous small businesses such as newsagent, bakery, supermarket and more.

Wave Rock attracts an amazing 130,000 visitors per year, which is incredible given it is more than 330km from Perth and is located on the outskirts of Hyden, a tiny West Australian township that was only connected to the main electricity line in the 1990s. Wave Rock is a granite cliff about 15 metres high and 110 metres long.
East Hyden Bin Rd & Wave Rock Access [3.21km]

There are actually two entry/exit points to Wave Rock. This turnoff is the first seen if approaching Hyden from the east (ie. if you've driving West into Hyden the turnoff is on your right). If you're leaving Hyden and heading east, then you are more likely to follow signs and take the more westerly entry access road that is clearly sign posted.
