Description of Millaa Millaa Falls
Located 327 km north of Townsville, 109 km south of
Cairns and 821 m above sea-level, Millaa Millaa lies on the southern edge of the
Atherton Tablelands. It is a tiny, attractive settlement with a wide and uncluttered main street, brightened by a vivid display of flowering trees and bushes running down one side.
Millaa Millaa Falls are the first of a series of three falls on what is known as 'The Waterfalls Circuit', a circular trip of approximately one hour which encompasses the Zillie Falls and the Ellinjaa Falls. There are at least five more sets of falls within the area for people who never tire of watching water cascade from great heights. People brave enough to dive into the
Bridal Veil Falls can walk away with a "Polar Bear" certificate which is provided by the local shops.
