This junction is just 3km from Dalhousie Springs and the Ranger Station. Nearby is Tenacity Bog, and a bog detour linking the Dalhousie Rd to the Pedirka Track bypassing this junction.

The Pedirka Track is now a PAR (Public Access Route) as the track passes through pastoral lease land so some rules apply. This includes camping restricted to within 250m of the Pedirka Track but not within 500m of a constructed stock watering point or 1km of any station building. Also, avoid camping in Stevenson Crek as it is easy to bog vehicles in the deep sand of the main river channels.
