Description of Lark Quarry Dinosaur Trackways
Lark Quarry, in
outback Australia, is currently the only recorded dinosaur stampede on earth. In this place, around 95 million years ago, a large herd of small two legged dinosaurs gathered on the banks of a forest lake to drink.
The direct route from
Winton is along the
Jundah Road. This route is suitable for conventional vehicles, but only approximately 27 kilometres of the road is sealed. Check
road conditions with the Visitors Information Centre (Tel 1300 665 115) or the Shire Council before setting out on your journey.
