Compiled by the Mapping Branch of Forestry Commission of NSW from large scale forest and topographic maps. Covers the area between Narrabri, Piliga, Baradine and Coonabarabran including 4 Forest Drives and excellent historical information of John Oxley's expedition in 1818 and diagrams and descriptions of local tree speciies.
Map gives 4 good forest drives to see historic sites, windmills, fire lookouts, flora reserves, picnic areas etc. These are: Jacks Creek Forest Drive, Narrabri - Salt Caves Forest Drive, Yarrigan Forest Drive, Coonabarabran - Salt Caves Forest Drive plus deails of other areas of interest such as: Dandry Creek Gorge, Milchomi Bore, The Gilgai Flora Reserve, Pantons Lookout, the Warrambungle National Park and Siding Spring Observatory.
