Clarke's Country Soft Floor Camper

For sale is a heavy duty, soft floor camper trailer custom built in December 2007. The trailer section was designed and constructed by Clarke’s trailers in Medowie, NSW with the canvas tent section designed and constructed by Bella Canvas in Nelson Bay, NSW. During construction, the camper trailer was modified to suit our family needs and to incorporate all our ‘wants’ and desires ‘ of the time.

The trailer is extremely rugged, permits carriage of a boat and all accessories and incorporates a well-designed, heavy-duty canvas tent section with full Queen size bed. Unlike most camper trailers, bed access is facilitated by a step section at the end of the bed that permits you to step-into the trailer vice climbing into bed.
Trailer storage is split to a normal rear entry sealed trailer section accessed from the tail gate or a door under the mattress PLUS an area afforded by the walk in area at the end of the bed PLUS a section 450mm deep under the end of the mattress (pictures tell all) PLUS a large sealed storage box on the draw bar.
The following is a summary of the CT features:

Trailer:

• Registered until December 2009 (will extend registration as it becomes due).
• Heavy duty, hot dip galvanised 8 x 4ft trailer with drop-down steps for access to the bed end. Trailer ATM 1500kg.
• Checker plate floor and guard sections.
• Fully sealed along all seams and at all openings (including tail gate, steps and tool box).
• Extended drawbar (2.1m) to cater for stone deflector, boat trailer rack (not included), outboard motor mount and tool box.
• Hyland off road hitch.
• Heavy-duty electric brakes.
• 9 leaf eye-to-eye rebound springs with greasable shackles.
• 17 inch Toyota 120 series Prado alloy rims shod with BFG AT tyres (75% tread).
• Large drawbar toolbox, sectionalised for upper and lower storage.
• Removable stone deflector.
• Outboard motor mount.
• 60 litre under trailer poly water tank with lockable filler and plumbed to an external pump tap.
• Storage for 5 jerry cans, permitting carriage of up to an additional 100 litres of water or fuel (3 x 20 litre water jerry cans included).
• 2 x 4.5kg gas bottle mounts (ONE 4.5 gas bottle included).
• Installed gas regulator plumbed to kitchen stove for ease of use.
• 100 Ah Absorbed Glass Mat (AGM) 12-volt battery, switched and fused to 5 outlets across the trailer.
• Drifta kitchen mounted on swing out tailgate, braced to reduce movement once set up.
• Axe and long-handled shovel mount (axe and shovel included).
• Custom designed boat rack.
Boat Rack.
• Custom built 50mm x 50mm galvanised box section with a sliding top for boat loading/unloading and carriage. Durable nylon runners are installed for ease of use.
• A full-length mesh section is installed along the driver’s side of the rack for firewood or loose item carriage.
• The boat ‘carriage’ slides across the base (over nylon runners) to facilitate easy boat removal and loading, as well as permitting the boat to remain on the rack whilst still using the tent beneath. Unlike most boat racks, the boat is positioned close enough to the ground to permit a single person to roll the boat onto or off the rack, either onto the ground or a portable trailer. The rack and moving ‘carriage’ are secured with easy to use spring pins.
• The rack incorporates a frame/mesh section to permit fuel tank and small jerry can carriage beneath the boat (will permit a 25 litre boat tank plus another 4 x 10 litre jerry cans).
• The rear of the rack has included brackets for carriage of the wheels and mudguards for a Real-Ezy folding boat trailer, permitting the use of the trailer spring pins and clips for retention of the wheels and guards.
• As highlighted in the photos, the rack easily caters for a Quintrex 375 Dart ‘tinny’. This boat has a beam of 1.59 metres.
• Two 100mm diameter PVC lockable storage tubes are mounted to the rack for pole and fishing rod carriage/storage.
• A removable bike rack is included that permits vertical carriage of four bicycles, as well as storage of the bikes with the rack folded out.

The Tent

• Soft floor camper 13ft wide x 8ft deep in the main tent section with an 8ft deep awning that may be left zipped to the main tent and left in place when folding the tent section.
• Tastefully constructed of a blend of grey and purple Australian made, dynaproofed 15oz heavy-duty canvas. The floor section incorporates a large impermeable ‘bucket ‘ section that removes (if needs be) for ease of cleaning.
• Bed section consists of a 100mm high-density foam mattress with a walkway at the end for ease of access. 3 x windows are built into the bed tent section, each with heavy-duty mozzie mesh and internal, zip over canvas flaps. The main window (along the side of the bed) incorporates an external storm flap for weather protection.
• The remaining main tent section includes two large window areas, also mozzie meshed and including internal zip up flaps and large external storm flaps.
• Inside the tent, and along the trailer side, are 5 storage pockets plus a mozzie netted vent flap to allow for tent ventilation. The vent may be zipped closed.
• Two strip sections of eyeleted canvas in the roof section to permit the hanging of lights, coat hangars, blinds, etc.
• Two vents installed at the roof peak to assist with tent ventilation.
• Awning walling consists of two side sections (with a meshed window each) plus two sections along the front, with a window in the kitchen end section and a window and door in the other section. All awning windows are mozzie meshed and include heavy-duty external storm flaps (no internal canvas flaps).

Summary

An extensively optioned soft floor camper trailer for travels to any location in Australia with few, if any, further additions required. Galvanising assures longevity of the trailer, whilst 15oz dynaproofed Australian canvas tent and annex sections ensure safe, comfortable and dry sleeping quarters that will remain serviceable for many years.

The boat, boat trailer and draw bar mount, outboard motor nor other boat components, as well as the actual bicycles demonstrated in the photos are not included in the camper trailer sale.
