Nissan Patrol, automatic 2002 model. Towing O'Brien trailer, about 1.1 tonnes. Let tyres down to 20lbs. Very corrugated but sandhills no problem, didn't use 4wheel drive, max speed 40kms. Travelled west to east during July with eight others. Road gets progressively worse as you go east with bad stretches of corrugations. Peter Twigg at the Illkurka Roadhouse is a great host, hot showers at this camp site. Replace your shockers when you get home.
