Travelled west to east after filling up at Oodnadatta. Took 3 days and 2 nights leaving Dalhousie 18 Apr arriving Birdsville 20 Apr. WAA was rough and average speed about 15kph. QAA was much better and average speed about 30kph. Track was dry and tops of sandhills soft requiring momentum to get over.

Mt. Dare, to Colson Track, WAA Line to Knolls Track, French Line to Birdsville. Loaded 100 series Cruiser. Left Mt. Dare on 2/5/08. Soft blown sand on many dunes. Big Red very soft and difficult. Dunes blown by wind from East to West over summer. Slow going in many parts due to bumpy track, affecting fuel economy.
