ID:153944 - Commerical SRES Solar Rebates Covered For Installations Upto 1MW

Heads up for anyone following this — the STC rebate cap for solar PV under the SRES has been bumped up from 100kW to 1MW, which is a pretty massive jump.

Went and checked the DCCEEW page and it says: The expanded SRES is expected to commence from 1 October 2026, subject to the necessary regulations being in place.

Anyone know if the regs have actually been sorted yet, or is this still up in the air?

Reason I ask — I've got a quote in hand from ipromiseaustralia.com.au and trying to figure out whether I should just sign now or hold off and wait for the regulations to actually come through first. Would hate to jump the gun if there's a better deal on the other side of 1 October, but also don't want to sit on my hands if it's all locked in already. Anyone been through this or got a read on it?

Hi,

We currently have a 2022 Dmax with Bushcompany RTT and awning attached to canopy.

As we mature getting up and down ladder is getting harder. :-)

Looking at getting a Heavy duty trailer 8 x 6 or similar with matching tyres/rims to mount the RTT on hinge so storage under can be used or rear access drawers and possibly a Jerry Can mount at each corner and gas bottle storage?

Looking for type model/price of trailer recommendation.

Would this type of trailer hander off road/gibb corrugations....

We would still like to do some off roading.

We are Northside brisbane if any recommendation's.

A young female English backpacker was left stranded by the Greyhound bus company in Pimba, Outback South Australia on route at Midnight.

The usually 20 minutes stop was extended by 5 minutes as the buses onboard toilet system was not working.

At that hour of the night, the frightened lady called 000 and was picked up by Police who where doing a prisoner transfer two and a half hours later.

How can this thing happen and you would think the bus driver would do a head count before leaving at that hour of the night.Lady left behind at Pimba at Midnight

Did a trip earlier this year and just got back from another a few days ago and change in satellite messaging on a mobile phone between the two is incredible . On the first trip sending messages was inconsistent and if it did send it took for ever. This trip it was almost instant and never failed. This included sending images which we couldn't do on our earlier trip. This has now pretty much made our dedicated satellite messaging system obsolete.

Why the extra cost to add tracker app? Also can you have traveller downloaded on a device as well as headset and have updated info input from say iPad link straight to cars headset ?

Over the past few days AOR have shut down their website, forum, Facebook page and owners Facebook page. Their phones are no longer connected. Drove past the Caloundra yard this morning and it was virtually empty. So I stopped to speak to a gentleman at the gate enquiring if I could book a service. His response was they shut up shop on Wednesday. It is interesting though that just last week the owner posted on the forum about working on a new design and that on the 3/9 there was some business registrations on the ASIC website.
Sadly it looks like another Australian manufacturer has closed.

Hi guys. Have a YCD90A kings 90 l fridge freezer which is an ever cool apparently. I can't get the hinges from either and were wondering if any one had come up with a supplier or an alternate hinge that fits. The fridge is fine. Can't really screw a different hinge on because there are threaded nuts in the lid to suit. [gi]251352[/gi]

As we are planning the following trip from Brisbane - plenty Hw- Alice Springs- tanami road- halls creek- derby- Gibb road- bungle bungle- Katherine- back to Brisbane I’d like get some feed back on if you need to remove the tyre monitoring units on each tyre. After doing Birdsville the mechanic told us we should remove them as they are the biggest single cause for tyre valves breaking off.
