HI Val,
this blog is a great idea. Too many travellers around this wonderful country skip over the intracacies of the native flora. I'm no botanist or naturalist, but I do enjoy reading about and experiencing the little quirks of nature; the way the orchids trick insects, the propagation of mistletoe by a bird, the tricks of parasitic plants, the existence of native plants which, by rights, should not be, but are here in Australia.
Now I must delve into my photos and see what I can come up with!
Cheers,
Gerry

Hi Gerry,
Thanks for those comments. There is certainly a wealth of interesting and beautiful flora (and fauna) out there, and you are right, many people are quite oblivious to it. Although I do have some botanical training I have been surprised at just how much I have learned in doing these posts - and for that alone they are worthwhile for me! I will look forward to seeing "what you can come up with" and if I can assist in any way don't hesitate to drop me a MM.
Cheers,
Val.
