I have fitted my compressor into a designated space in my storage drawer system, and I am wanting some advice on the wiring.

This unit is an on board type with the wiring harness/s, including air lockers which I don't need, as I only want it for inflating/deflating tyres.

I am a bit confused as the diagram shows three switches, 1 - for air locker- 2 for air locker and 3 for an isolating switch. What I want to know is which switch do I use?

Hi Robert,

My Landcruiser has an on-board compressor, with air lockers, wired up by ARB.
The way mine is installed is with the three switches you mention. The reason for the isolation switch is so that the air lockers cannot be inadvertently activated. They will ONLY operate if the isolation switch is turned on.
In your case, just install the isolation switch, it is that one which provides power to the compressor.

Hi Robert,

The standard ARB 3-switch setup is the "Compressor" (isolator) switch controls 12v power to the compressor.... it turns it on & off. The other two "Airlocker" switches are for the solenoids that provide air from the compressor to either the front or rear diff lockers. If you are only using the compressor without lockers then only install the "Compressor" (isolator) switch and insulate any unused bare connections.

It all makes sense now , but when you get to 75, I think we tend to lose a bit of that. LOL

Hi Brigalowo. One thing to keep in mind when wiring the compressor. I presume the drawers are in the back of your tug which is a fair way from the starting battery. I think mine draws about 35amps so you may have increase the cable size.
