Our canvas on our jurgens van is in need of a clean. Dirt and a bit of mould.
What to use?

Is it canvas or a plastic type?
I have used CT18 truck wash on my plastic type on the skirt on my pop top and worked ok.

Cotton or cotton-blend blend canvas - start with a hose and soft brush. Then use clove oil from the chemist on the mould.
Detergents and similar will trash the waterproofing.

Half a teaspoon of clove oil per litre and spray onto the mould. This will kill the spores.

If it's vinyl use a mild solution of vinegar and a soft brush.

i'm not sure why their is a big fear on usings chemicals on cotton canvas.
I've used exist mould when we first purchased our second hand 2002 OB Finch,it worked a treat.
Followed up with a coat of canvas wax & seam sealer once the canvas dried out.
Never had a problem with water proofing and the 2002 canvas is still in great condition.
Canvas waxing should be done annually anyway.

The Dynaproof goop is damn exxy, that's why. Why trash it when you don't need to?
Canvas reproofing is only needed when the fabric starts to seep water. That took over 5 years on my old Johnnos.
