Hello,
I am planning to go for a
caravan trip on the coastline of South Australia. Can anyone suggest some good
caravan parks near
Adelaide.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Bailey
One park that always get very good reviews is the West Beach
Caravan Park -
Adelaide Shores right on the beach front and only 15 minutes from the city centre.
Cheers
Stephen

Adelaide Shores is
well located with a bus at the door etc and has good amenities however we stayed there at
Easter in 2014 and found it very, very busy. We didn't enjoy it all. Basically, there were too many people packed in which meant that masses of children played on the roads in the park and in around all the vans while their parents either watched on benignly or didn't seem to be around. This went on from dawn to dusk. Of course, this was probably the ideal holiday for some. It was just not what we wanted.

Hi Kevin and Megan
It will not matter where you stay at
Easter, Australia wide, all parks will be at their peak.
We go to
Renmark every year for 10 days leading up to
Easter and the park goes from a quiet park to mad house at
Easter.
Easter is never a time to get away to a quiet location, not unless you head bush where no one else goes.
The question was for a park, close to the beach, the city etc and outside of peak times, this park rates very high and one of the top 3 in South Australia.
Cheers
Stephen

You can do your own research here. Just click on the pins for more info. The Badgers reports are submitted by people just like us.

Yes with Dr Google it now possible for people to do some research, but forums give a chance to get a more recent and personalized opinion.
Without these questions, why would we have a
forum?
If you do not think a response to a question is needed, just skip to the next topic.

My link was not posted as a rebuke to someone I considered too lazy to do his own research. I posted it thinking he may not known of Gary's site. Maybe I should have included the link to the
home page.
Gary Stratton's MyParkList.

I have been guilty of asking a similar question. I had looked elsewhere on the net including Badgers but recent information is important and not always available. Things can change dramatically in 2-3 years.
I think of this site as a group of friends who help each other our when they can.

Hmm, I would of thought asking a question here was doing "research".
I have always found Bel Air CP by the National Park good Nice & quiet lots of trees very plesant surroundings, bit out of the way,not as many kids.

We did Brownhill Creek in Mitcham. About 15 mins from CBD.
Very simple (no bouncy mats, or hire bikes) and quiet park in beautiful surroundings. Good clean facilities (laundry and RV/games room). We had a great time going for walks along the approach road spotting koalas in the wild (something we don't get in WA).
Would definitely stay there again.
Cheers

There's a nice council run cara park at
Seacliff /
KIngston Park, really is totally beachfront.
Right next to
Seacliff Yacht Club, would be Marion Council, should be able to find info etc on Google.
