Hi guys, just pulled this battery out of a 625ktm dirt bike, So I could attach a lead for charging it. I have googled it, to see what type of battery it is, nothing indicating on the battery, only that its maintenance free, sealed, and won't leak.. would one assume it would be an AGM? The new charger has a mode setting, so wanted to ask the question, just for peace of mind.. thanks all.. cheers Odog

Did you try Googling it?
Yuasa website says it's High Performance AGM
Maybe your spelling hindered the search.

Don't apologise, I was glad I could help, the info was buried fairly deep in their site!

Odog, If you go to this site below, do a search on your battery type you will find it about half way down on page 8.

A lot of useful information in this PDF.

while this seems to be an AGM battery ...... just because a battery is sealed, does not make it AGM.

And the idea that it won't leak, is misleading.

If the battery is over charged, over heated or it fails in a couple of ways it WILL vent explosive gasses and may vent corrosive material.

cheers

The Yuasa website clearly says it is an AGM battery.
