Hey, just wondering if anyone here is still using an Autofridge. If so, I have a couple of questions.
Cheers
Al.

We have a Eutectic Autofridge in our Kimberley Kamper...what did you want to know about them?

I have just changed vehicles. The new one has been fitted with a Redarc Dc charger and AGM battery which all checks out. I have the fridge set on 1 which is cool enough but it seems to be using lots of power. Do you use yours as a fridge or freezer and hoe do you have it set. I was hoping to run it continuously rather than turning on and off. Thanks, Allan.

We use it as a fridge...turn it on for 2 hours in the morning then turn it off until about 4 in the arvo, then turn it on again for 2 hours and shut it off for the night after that. If in hotter climates then may need to run for a 3 hour period instead of 2.
Dial setting I just put on -about 4 and let it run, done that the past 9 years of owning the fridge

I think you need to run them for a couple of days before you need to use them, they have to freeze the eutectic fluid in the case which is what keeps them cold during the times they are switched off each day.

Yes, our fridge gets turned on several days before packing it for trips away to get it cold.
