How do you secure your bait to a yabbie drop net?

Hey guys,
I’ve been trying to go catch some yabbies lately. I bought a 2 hoop drop net but it doesn’t seem to have any where to put the bait.
Does anyone know a way I can secure my bait?

Tie your bait with twine through the base of the net.
At least that is how we did it as kids, a long time ago

Depends on the type of bait I use...
Put the bait into the toe of a stocking and tie the stocking using tie wire - eg Soft meat that tears easily (eg liver), chopped meat scraps or pellets.
Use garden tie wire only for stronger bigger pieces of meat.

Yeah ..chook pellets in a stocking. Dont have to just use toe if you have multiple nets, use the hole lot..progressively cut into sections. Just need to tie two knots.

All seems a bit unfair and detached Snoop. When we were kids we at least gave them a chance. Meat was tied with string to small sticks which we stuck around the
dam's banks. String went taught when the yabby grabbed it and we then slowly and carefully pulled it close enough to get our
home-made chicken-wire net underneath. GL

Same here Bazooka ............ had more than a few tasty lunches of boiled lobbies and fresh bread ( bread uncut and delivered by the baker to the door). Those were the days !!!
