There are grease caps on hubs where the hub contains a taper roller bearing - on the front hubs of most vehicles.
However, grease caps are disappearing as hub design changes, and sealed hubs are becoming prevalent.
In addition, all solid rear axles on vehicles do not have grease caps, the wheel bearing is located in the end of the axle housing, inboard of the brakes - and it is either sealed or lubricated by diff oil.
Heavy duty rear axles such as the Landcruiser, utilise "full floating" bearings, where the grease is contained by the axle flange, and there is no grease cap.
What many wheels do have today, is a small central hub cap - either metal or plastic - which is removable, either before you take the wheel off, or after you take the wheel off.
Cheers, Ron.
