Looks like my parents' old chook house. :)

Lol.
No, a bit more significant than that, Jim.
It's at a place that has modern historic significance.

The associated building looks like the Telegraph Station at Alice Springs.

You're in the right region, Macca.

The associated building is not part of a telegraph station, it is nurses' quarters.

Here's another building on the same site that will probably give away the location:

A cigarillo for you, Stephen, well done.

To get the cigar, what is the small shed erroneously, but perhaps aptly, described as an old chook-house? It's in the same complex.

Sorry, Pinko, missed you there. No, not Millstream.

Stephen has got the location right - Hermannsburg. The building is a bit tricky but another clue - it has a medical use.

Cheers

No, Stephen, not a morgue. But used in serious medical circumstances.

That's it, Jim.Well done. It's the isolation "ward" at the Hermannsburg mission. There is at least one other similar building used for a different purpose but I don't recall the details, just remember it was there.

Wouldn't want to be stuck in there for a Covid lockdown, eh? They did it tough in those days.

Hermannsburg Mission is well worth the visit if you've never been there.

Cheers

Looking at the two open windows maybe a power generator shed with the pipe for power to be exported.
