While out in the bush the other week, we had to make a detour here with permission from the Station Manager.

Do you know where this great place is?

Hi Stephen.

Looking at the bird and the habitat, I would say you have photographed a Peregrine Falcon.

Cheers,
Mike.

I showed pictures above, now waiting to see if anyone else has ever been there

For a change, it seems this place is a mystery.

I'll try the north end of the Gammon Ranges on Yeralina Station. Judy and I had permission to drive through the property a couple of years ago, and were fascinated by all the different rock formations

The only other place that we came up with was Boolcoomatta Station or Kilabity Station where we were guests of both stations, and next door properties. We didn't get explore the whole of both stations. There were many rocky outcrops, and only walked some, especially on Boolcoomatta which is owned by Bush Heritage, of which we are member of the group. Paul at Kilabity gave a a mud map to see some of the sights.

Sorry Stephen, I will have to go back through Judy's trek notes and see if I can find an answer. Judy's keeps a daily record of our trips, and she has a fairly good memory. I have to trust the gate girl come navi. Other than this I am stumped yet again by your travels and knowledge

Honestly thought it would have gone off real quick, so it goes to show if it’s not on a major tourist route, the average person is not going to know about it.

Looks like another secret of the bush

Ah ha, this is your own back yard, and there is so much to see. One cannot see everything, it would take more than life time to see just what you want to see. Some people like myself may rely on others, like yourself, for suggestions to place on their wish list. I like to pick a different route for every trip, including existing and former mail runs to see different country as well as research the area, call station owners for permission. I do admire people like yourself for your gift of knowledge and experience. No, I am not looking or fishing for an answer, as we yet come across it and appreciate even more. I would like to thank you also for your effort as a moderator, it's a tough job. I followed one of your last posts till it was eliminated. Keep up the good job, and keep us proud.
