Hey folks, just a quick question for all you seasoned travellers out there ;)

After a few trips across the centre and around the top it's become a bit of a pain for us not having fresh veggies/salad for meals (we camp self contained at night). Does anyone know what the quarantine regs across the various states are for pre-packaged frozen veggies? I've looked at the "topics" and even tried searching through the various government web sites but can't find an answer.

Do they still count as "fresh" and have to be disposed of, or can we use these to at least feel like we're eating healthy food?

And yes it does occur to me that I should have asked for myself last time I went through ;)

Cheers,

Chris

Commercially packaged frozen vegetables and dried fruit pass through OK. Fresh fruit cut into small pieces as a salad in an amount for the next meal are generally OK.

On our last trip back east from the west, I cut up all the fruit and vacuum packed it, passed O.K. at Ceduna.

Try this link. It is the federal government brochure on interstate quarantine. If in doubt I would contact the relative state government office rather than risk a fine based on lay advice and hearsay.
