Mick asked me to post a few photos of his new set up for you all.
I gave Mick a hand to finish some stuff last Saturday as he was leaving for 11 weeks of outback traveling on Sunday.
So here are a few pics of what he has done so you all can dribble over like I did.
Its a fabulous set up and once its fine tuned it will be even better.

Bit different now, not a spare square inch of space left, had tea with Mick and some of there group last night in
Jamestown, watched him plaster it in scratch-pro, looks second hand now LOL
All gathered in
Coober Pedy tonight before taking to the bush.

John is it possible to get some contact details so i can talk to mick about his setup because this is what we are in the middle of setting up not as elaborate though i would like to look at this vehicle up close

Mick is right now in the middle of the
Gibson Desert so it will be a little hard to see him.
He is back around the middle of August so he will probably see this post when he returns and may be able to email you then.

We can meet at desert queen baths and swap vehicles.... lol... after all, my '06 Prado is much better than his "new truck"... isn't it? ... lol.. (:

Is that a roof rack on the back?? If so does that mean it has to be unloaded before the bed can be accessed, and then there's that clambering up and down the ladder and the risk of falling, no thanks.

Rod the roof has a tie down rail right around it and Mick's thought was it would be useful for firewood collection on the way to a
camp were the wood would obviously be offloaded before opening the bedroom.
The ladder issue is one of a personal choice I guess, I had no issues with getting up and down but if you were 75 yo then it may not suit??
having said that I have another friend who has a similar set up and he and his wife are both around mid 60's and cope
well. The wife even has a hip problem and can still get up and down OK and with care.

micko nice rig. just a quick quesstion what sort of fridge slide is that. i can not say i have seen one drop down like that once it slides out.

TJM have them, Virginia store most certainly does. Called a drop down fridge slide or something to that nature. About $450 if I remember right.
