Queenslander Damo

Looking for something to do in the Northern Territory? What an event! Come and share stories and pride in the heritage of the Australian outback.
Witness the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate the 150th anniversary of explorer John McDouall Stuart camping at Newcastle Waters.

Join in the launch of Peter & Sheila Forrest's new book "In the Middle of Everywhere". A history of Elliott & District.

Help acknowledge the first people of the land.

Since John McDouall Stuart, Newcastle Waters and the Aboriginal people all come together in the pages of history, the plaque will be in the form of an open history book. Erected by the Barkly Shire Council and John McDouall Stuart Society.

When: Sunday 6th May 2012
Time: 10:00am
Where: In the Drover’s Park
Newcastle Waters, Northern Territory
