The track up to the Mt Blue Rag commences from the
Dargo High Plains road approximately 10km's from the Great Alpine Road. The traveller is rewarded with fantastic
views of the Victorian High Country from the trig point at 1717m at the top of the range.

The track along the ridge to Blue Rag
The track is steep, rocky but generally pretty good and any high clearance 4WD should be able to make it up.
The final climb to the top is probably the trickiest as it is very steep, loose and there are a couple of boulders to avoid.
The view from the top is definitely worth it (if it is a nice day!).

This was the third time up to Blue Rag - the first time great
views, the second a complete white-out (in the clouds), and the third time (this time) fantastic!

If in the area and the weather is nice, definitely check out Blue Rag. The track turnoff is less than an hour from
Bright, and it only takes a bit over 30min to get to the top. You may want to spend a while up the top as the
views are spectacular. Maybe even
camp up the top to watch the sunrise/sunset (if it's not too windy and you can cope with the cold).
