Hi all,

Further on from the issues described in:

Starting with:

Then this:

We're just back from Genie Exhaust - they fitted twin 2.5” stainless steel into single 3” stainless using a GENIE TURBO main muffler & a MAGNAFLOW rear resonator. They used Magnaflow EURO 5 primary cats with Magnflow EURO 3 secondary cats. All sensors were replaced with Bosch type.

The rear resonator was added to reduce drone and excessive noise for long trips - still sounds like a throaty v8 :-) but reduced cabin noise and drone unless you are giving it herbs.

No lights on the dash, however there wasn't any up before exhaust replacement after reset by Toyota. It seems to be an intermittent fault flaring up when the car is used for long trips and very hot.

We'll test it over Easter prior to Rudall and Pilbara in June and let you know the result.....

The issue now seems to be the handling. With the Kaymar rear bar, Longranger 180l tank, jerry cans etc and when towing the full Oddy the Cruiser wallows like an old pig. Nothing like she was before. I was hoping it might have been because the VSC was disabled, but apparently not....the OME coils, springs with Coilrite airbags were originally fitted 4 years ago. Will now investigate a rear spring upgrade.....

Heard from the panel beater the other day that he has seen two LC200s fitted with the big Longrangers that had twisted/broken chassis from the extra weight...gulp...let's hope this is a vicious rumour as I haven't been able to substantiate...

Will keep you posted...
