AMO'S

DAY 76. Left kooljamin , it was a wonderful 4 days with 2 very good days of fishing.
Dropped in at beagle bay for a little petrol, a few supplies and a peek in at the famous church. The kids from the mission school were in there with some very strong voices. The altar was a magnificent mother of pearl creation. Whole place had a lovely feel, locals very helpful.
Found quondong pt and a great free shady spot to camp with water views and privacy. Beach was 2 different places with the low exposing all the reef and high tide almost to the top of the sand.
Perched our chairs where they stayed for 2 days, on a point as a breakfast spot and for the mandatory sunset with glass of wine viewing!
Tried bit of beach fishing but no good.DAY 77 stayed a further night and tripped back to Barred creek 10km. Looked a muddy spot to put the tinnie in and an insect ridden campsite.
At dusk at quondong the campsite was full of the rustlings of hermit crabs coming up from the beach. They left their distinctive tracks everywhere.DAY 78 back to Broome. We had a huge shopping list for woolies, bunnings and Kimberley campers. Took us far too long, I hate shopping!
On to eighty mile beach caravan park. Soo very windy and not much cover. Did have very nice shade tho but kids, ah wonderful school hols.!DAY 79 laundry and running repairs day. Still very windy but we did venture out for a beach drive. A shell collectors paradise! Which many people did enjoy despite requests to leave shells on the beach. I think people may as well collect because with the beach traffic they only get squished! The sea is a bizarre colour, a cloudy muddy whitish mix. Not really inviting, they do say it's a fishermans paradise tho! Guess we caught it on a bad hair day.
Had enough of this wind, have decided to continue our WA tour inland.
