AMO'S on the go

Got away a little late last Sunday so didn't make the first stop by nightfall so opted for the soft way.
Kept driving till Port Macq. and stayed in a motel.
But if we hadn't we would have missed the car ferry across to the point plomer road. Now that was an adventure. Pot holes, corrugations, sand, fallen trees endless water bogs, some I didn't think we'd come out of and no other traffic to help if we did get stuck. But at the end was the most beautiful camping area Point Plomer in the Lineburners N.P.
Day 2 expected another track to Crescent Head but the road was kind with minor bumps. Passed several great spots worth trying on another trip to Limeburners NP. Headed for Lake Hiawatha south of Grafton and as the sun was setting stumbled on Illaroo South Camp ground in Yuraygir NP near Minnie Waters. Wow what a spot. No one there, overlooked the beach, plenty of firewood supplied, ECO toilets. Great weather so stayed 2 nights.
