AMO'S

DAY 33 Left Adels campground out the Riversleigh road, so should have done the fossils then cos the 50 km of dirt wasn't that great.
Had to cross the mighty Gregory river, I could see that could be a problem during the wet! Then onto Cammoweal. Glorious when we hit the bitumen. They like to tease you with several 10km sections first! Stayed at the freebie on the Georgina River between the two bridges which was great . Good neighbours, lots of water birds and a full panorama of stars, lots of shooting stars.DAY 34 had long drive, thought we'd go south at three ways to Tennant Creek. An experience! V. dusty, lots of locals hanging around. Circus on paddock next door, v. Nice Frenchman traveling on own shared our rare desert. Grandma's apple pie with custard, eat your heart out Alex!

DAY 35 another long drive, 400 km, stopped for a cuppa at Renner springs with beautiful moist carrot cake and freshly baked bread, what a treat after frozen white buttercup!! You have to grab these things when can.
diesel bp $2.05, indep diesel $1.85
Lunch with 20 peacocks and stray dogs at Dunmarra. At least it was shady, and they did enjoy grandys spag bog on toast!
Next dusty place was Daly waters.Has a bit of history, oldest NT pub, hosted great plane race aus to england 1926 and WW2 camp.Great setup, BBQ Barra or rump with the Chilli show thrown in. Ex horse breaker who has turned to comedy and bush ballads since bikes have taken over. Very funny, highly recommend all. Amenities could be better. Looking forward to hot springs to get dust out.
