Sep 12 (Thursday)
Departure after work from Tamworth.
Collected Barbara (aka SWMBO) in her car after I finished, and went home, then loaded into the Navara with our cold stuff in esky (and frozen stuff in the WAECO – wonderful beasty, that!) and the van having been packed earlier in the week.
On the road by 1630. Driving through Gunnedah, Coona, Gil and on to Warren.
Overnight in a motel since it was around 2130 by the time we got there (and I am not into setting up the GoldStorm unit in the dark – and we wanted to be gone VERY early) – a good night's rest. WAECO was still at around -14C having been loaded into the back seat of the Navara just before departure at -18C and plugged into the 12v power source for the day, including stops! Day's travel = 366km.
No track for this part of the trip as the logger wasn't switched on - bugger!
Every day I beat my own previous record for number of consecutive days I have stayed alive
