Today we left
mungo national park via Balranald. Then headed east along the Sturt Highway.
We stopped for lunch next to the river at
Hay at "the long paddock trail". A nice enough place with picnic tables and some sculptures that probably mean something to someone.

Tonight we're camping in MIA 1 National park, although most of the signs still say
state forest. It feels like a
state forest, where you're free to do what you want, so unfortunately most of the sites have been used by feral campers at one stage or another. The one we're at tonight still has the fire burning from the last campers including old chairs, bottles, cans etc.
I really don't get people that like to get out in the bush and then treat it like a rubbish dump.
We found a corner that's reasonably clean, but I guess tomorrow morning I'll need to try and clean up some of the feral's mess, and put out their fire properly.
There really are a lot of sites in this park, and if it was clean it'd be great.
Mind you, like any
campsite if you face the right way you can still get a nice photo of your family enjoying the fire beside the river.
