After leaving Sydney at 6am, the Fussell family drove, and drove.

We stopped at the Coolac store, just off the Hume hwy. Tony remembers this not long ago as being the main road. It's a lot quieter now, but quite a pretty place to stop.

We stopped for lunch near a farm, and had a picnic. The farm grew Oates and lots of them were also growing on the side of the road. Katie picked a handful of the Oates and wanted to eat it.

We stopped just past Darlington Point in Yarradda National Park along the Murrumbidgee and set up an amazing bush camp overlooking the river.

Places like this camp are why we love 4wding
