On Saturday we drove from Renmark and made our way around to the Eyre peninsula.

On the way we stopped on Peterborough for lunch at the 229 on main cafe, that was actually an ex cinema. The tables and chairs were on the sloped floor and stage had the grand red curtain. Movie memorabilia was everywhere and the food was pretty good. An interesting place to stop.

We'd decidedFitzgerald Baylooked like our place to stay the night. Stunning views, but the flys!!! We seriously tried to figure out how to stay there. We were tired of driving... But they were too much. We opted to drive another 150km knowing it may be dark.

The place was Franklin Harbour conservation park, near Cowell. No flys, But about 10 million mozzies. We sorted out a fire, and smoke really helped, so we survived. Took a nice picture of a bird nest on the plain at sunset.

On Sunday we had a short drive to Port Lincoln, and the Port Lincoln national park. We'd already arranged an SA parks and camping pass, which we think is great value.

Our chosen spot is Spalding Cove. No facilities, but also hardly any people. One person was here, but has now left leaving us to ourselves. The beach is half a step from our tent, and the water is warm.

Looking forward to spending a few days here.
