Right around Australia, there are many special places that are not generally know or publicised.

The reason being, they are not promoted and it seems only locals in that area get to know about these great drives, or someone from outside the area has driven that said area and it is then past on as “word of mouth”.

In the Mid North of South Australia, there is an old historic Copper mining town that most people would have heard of, Burra, which is well worth the time to explore but have you ever heard of great drives to the east and northwest of Burra?

There might be a few South Australia's that have, but I doubt anyone from greater South Australia or interstate would be aware what the country is like. The country out there was the birthplace of Australia's least know explorer, to the original Ngadjuri Aboriginal people, early pastoralists and more.

So next time you are looking to venture into new country that you will not see in any media and travel destinations, why not consider the eastern Station country and you will be surprised what there is to see.
