Esperance W.A.

Breakfast at 8.00 today and then into town. Checked out the 4x4 place that had a Kimberly camper in the window and then headed to the post office to find that the mail had not arrived from Rushworth. After a bit of too-ing and fro-ing, absolutely nothing was achieved.

Did the tourist things, wandering along the pier and photographing the worlds fattest seal who obviously made a spectacular living out of haunting the waters below the jetty’s fish cleaning tables. Morning tea of a muffin and coffee In town and then a drive along the coastal scenic route taking in the bays, bluffs beaches and headlands. Stopped at the wind farm and then on to the pink lake, which, due to plenty of water, was not pink at all. The Pink Lake is a large salt lake just north of town.

To the supermarket for lunch stuff where we ran into Toby and Bea again then home for lunch of soup and bread. Back into town to post some stuff and then a later afternoon beach side drive. Dinner of a chicken salad tonight and an early one as I want to go to the dawn service in town at 5.50 a.m.
